Feel a little bit sick

We have just spent...urghhh...feel queasy... $1750 on a pantry and laundry cupboard. This was by far the cheapest we could find too.

House renovations are mad. We spend most of our time acting a bit frugal and poor, and then when something needs doing on the house we just shell out the most insane amounts of money.

I want to go and spend $1750 on a painting, or some nice shoes, or a coat.

Better damn well enjoy our food storage facility and dirty clothes cleaner holder.

On a more positive note. The builder is a legend and the place is looking gorgeous.

Nice Pantry. What is the weekly rental? My family and I are very clean and you won't even notice us except for the crumbs. Isn't it funny how kids will spend all day walking through crumbs at home yet are compelled to eat them when they are in the street?

Well now you know the cost of the pantry it would be unfair to charge you too much. Although it would include food and free lighting (when the door is open at least). We'd better negotiate.

It has a door? This is luxury indeed! Is there a powerpoint for a small number of appliances that are essential to my health and wellbeing....OK, so its a coffee machine but we are very close.

You'll be sharing with our exquisite microwave. We may let you out between 5.45am and 6am to use our Francis Francis - and empty the dishwasher.

Nice taste. I understand that the very tasteful Alan (half-pie) has similarly exacting standards in coffee construction techniques. I am tryly honoured to be in the company of such esteemed people.

Cheers! When you give up the hip city life (trying to sound like we had one arf arf) you need a good cuppa at home. Saves kids eating crumbs in public.

Agreed. My little beasts are now in bed so I can sit down and chill with Mrs Reasonable and enjoy some Columbian Dark and a ginger nut. Such small pleasures make me smile and keep life ticking along nicely.

Very nice! A Francis Francis! You haven't completely given away the urban hipster thing just yet, have you...

What on earth is a francis francis?

But anyway... able to share your builder? I need a car deck built. And a couple of builders to quote on it.

I thoroughly recommend our builder, and he is happy to give you a quote. His name is Paul Kitchenman and his numbers are 477 9200 and 021 303063.

Francis Francis is a wee fella who sits in the corner gushing out life's elixir.

Ah... like our Rocket. WHich is actually broken & I must take it in to get fixed.

Thanks for that I may well give him a call.

Is there really a product called, "Francis Francis" ... [new-tab, Google ...] ... YES, and how cool are they. Mighty stuff. And now I understand Alan's comment.

At some point I do need to post a picture of my little kitchen god. It's not as nice as a Francis Francis, but it keeps us alive during the weekends...

Francis Francis and Brezelmania keep us alive in the weekend, not to mention a decent meander around Moore Wilson's Fresh

llew said...

Ha yes... we have a brezelmania down the road also.

I heartily recommend their fitness bread (and not just for the name), and their hildas (also not just for the name).
