Tedious

I know it is as tedious as talking about the weather or dreams, but you know we all do it.

Petrol! Our car costs $100 to fill up now. That is approximately 120% of our disposable income. And it isn't like it lasts very long either, we usually get just over a week out of it. Although when the weather improves I daresay I'll be on foot a bit more.

I like the future, but really, you need to be able to afford aspects of it, like transportation and computers, otherwise there is just no bloody point.

I know! We're contemplating getting an even smaller car.

What kind of car do you have Martha?

S won't fill his car. It's a 4 litre Ford Falcon. It's a beast!
$40 hardly touches the sides.
It's $50 from Marty to Welly and back. Shifting is going to be expesive!

Do you know I had this weird dream last night. We were on holiday in Papua New Guinea (I have no idea where this could have come from) and I was walking down a really dangerous seeming street and then...but anyway I probably should do some work now...Though I must say I'm sure I'd feel more inclined to if only I could afford a laptop!!

Tinks, you'll be needing one of them dangfangled battery cars to get much more economical, surely?

Kate, we have a 2 litre engine. We cunningly downsized from a 2.5l engine, but it didn't seem to actually save us any money. Still, now we have a silver bullet, and I love it.

And Make Tea, dream stories! Pricelss.

I know what you mean. I filled up my tank for the first time today (I usually just put $40 in) and it cost $95!!! I was expecting maybe $80...

Thankfully it takes us 2 or 3 weeks to use it up though...

Our cars both take about $90 to fill - I did it for the first time in months recently and it did last about 3 weeks. Still, I really resent paying so much goddamn money for the pink stinky stuff. And walking everywhere is overrated... especially in Winter.
