Who didn't do it?

Like a scab, I can't leave this celebrity drug story alone.

Okay, there is all this concern that people who weren't involved in selling cocaine will get tarred with the same brush. Why don't we look into who it wasn't? Clear some names?

I can tell you that I, for one, didn't do a damn thing. And I think we can safely assume it wasn't Prince William, because the media didn't say "one young royal - who we can't name for legal reasons". I also imagine if it were any other famous sportspersons, the media would have said "3 former sports celebs" or something similar.

People, I want names of the innocent.

It wasn't me. Honest.

This is a great idea, Martha. Hopefully this way, not only will we establish the truth of the matter, but you'll get a record-breaking 3,999,998 comments on this posting.

Wasn't me either. Whilst I have a drug habit, it is a distant relative of the particular bean in question here and it is taken via the mouth rather than the nose....

Peyote??!!!

Wow, the things we don't know about our co-workers...

This blog is like a confessional. Feel free to share you peyote habits - they won't go any further.

And I'd love to think the population of NZ will feel compelled to clear their names. This does strike me as the perfect vehicle.

Hahahahahahahahaha

from wikipedia: "The resulting tea is extremely bitter and in most cases, the user experiences some degree of nausea before the onset of the psychedelic effects. This is considered quite normal according to experienced users and historians." Neat. Good name for a coffee cart too.

Keep your eyes peeled for Mr Safran's peyote conversion. Technicolour nausea. Yummy.

Saw it. And laughed so much I was nearly sick... etc etc. :-)

I know .. I've had emails (!), I've had txt's, I've even had my brother (in London) asking if I know (and do I care) ... but I'm not dropping anyone in it by leaving it on this or any other blog ...

(I just wanted to make sure you know I know ... and therefore bask in my ever decreasing flame of coolness)

One of the worst things about being a long term expat is that I have absolutely no idea who it is. At all. You could hint away as blatantly as you like, and I still wouldn't get it. Just as I had no idea who the domestically violent All Black was, even after I knew the name.

But give me a famous Pom, and I'll get it with my first guess.

Apparently Lana Coc-kroft and Charlotte Dawson have issued OFFICIAL DENIALS through their celebrity manager. Since he doesn't seem aware of this handy declaration of innocence post, I thought I'd pass them on.

Oh, and I deny all involvement too. But then who wouldn't?

Not guilty. And besides, cocaine is *so* twentieth century...

Here is the last post. I put my email address in it, then upon checking my Stat Counter had second thoughts. A lot of people are thinking I know whodunnit. Which I do. But I'm not telling.

Anyway:

hey we're getting there, that is 11 people we've eliminated + Charlotte and Lana. I was interested in the Lana scenario - possibly the DTs on that island rather than a "tropical disease"? However she is obviously as clean as a whistle.

David, I'll email you if you drop me a line (ha! A line) I mean an email (although a line would be nice) at ******** and I'll spill the beans. I think even having been away you'll know who we're talking about.

Incidentally, one of the alleged caught the same bus as me every day to school (although not the same school, as I'm not a bloke, and I think it is fair to say he is).

I hope the suspense ends soon because I've had to put a rule on my Outlook to autodivert all the emails telling me who the culprits are. *yawn*

But at least it wasn't me. No, really. It wasn't. I'm completely innocent.

Martha Craig said...

You don't SOUND innocent. Are you sure?

..easy to deduce who they are...

it wasn't me.

and I wonder if 22 July 2005 will go down in nz blog history as the 'day of the deleted comment.'

nor me.

Natalie, I know you were there.

so how the heck is when they say everyone knows already - meant to find out who it is. I sure don't have a clue. Anyone want to help me?

Martha Craig said...

Umm, best bet to follow some of the links from Sunnyo (linked in my sidebar)

It wasn't me, but there is some speculation that one of the x NZ sports reps is an ex cricet player.

Anonymous said...

It's not me, as I'm not particularly sporty nor a celeb.
I'm pretty sure of who it is though, and I also know who the name suppressed "domestically violent" All Black is that was mentioned by an earlier commenter.

Martha Craig said...

I haven't heard about the domestically violent All Black. Sounds like something from Footballers Wives.

And who was hit on? Angie?

David Farrar said...

It wasn't me - I've been overseas. Oh wait, so have they ... :-)

Martha Craig said...

Sounds like you're trying to tell me something David, go on. This is the perfect forum for a confession. What goes on tour stays on tour and all that.

OH well, they're on the forum of innocence now.

Until I possibly maybe have to delete your comment.

Jo, I can think of 3 Melindas - did the one you're referring to live in Ngaio (most likely candidate), Johnsonville, or Churton Park?

Martha Craig said...

Ben, actually I'm not particularly worried because I don't think they'd care about me that much, but strictly speaking I do think that while this blog is hosted in the US, it is effectively "published" by me here in New Zealand.

Believe it or not, I actually believe too that if the judge has suppressed someones name, it may be for a good reason, so actually i'm not that interested in telling anyway.

If, on the other hand the judge didn't do it for good reason, I'll think they're a plonker, lose faith in the system, and probably get into big time fraud.

I read in the herald or somewhere that Lana Coc Kroft and Josh Kronfeld are not being charged with anything, however they have been spoken to by police as their names crop up in the court documents. They are not covered by name supression because there are no charges against them.

It wasnt me - so you can stop giving me those strange looks Martha
