Damn you Bill Gates

Bearing in mind I've had alcohol.

I've had to give up the iBook dream. They're just too damn pricey; I was all keen on the 12inch iBook, but reliably informed that a screen that size is pus. DAMMIT. So now I'm gonna buy a nice Acer or something, and spend the extra $1000 on something responsible, like our growing debt, or a tattoo, or a table, or some cream to make my face look youthful and lovely. If I could be arsed, and this computer wouldn't crash, I'd set up a wee poll to find out what you guys think the money should go on. Actually I'm rooting for a nice new painting.

Mmmm. Art.

I've been using an Asus notebook for a few months - it so rules. I don't see how it's Bill's fault tasty apples are too pricey...

I'm sure you'll live to regret your choice to stray from the path of righteousness, o Martha.

The screen on my iBook is 1024 x 768: small, but livable. Make sure the Asus / Acer / Dell is giving you more pixels than that.

My work machine is an IBM (now Lenovo) and I'm very attached to it despite it running Windows XP. It's completely black, so goes together quite nicely with the all-white iBook. Always important, you know.

This asus one I have is 1280 x 768 which is big enough yet still an overall small package...

I'm even more unsure now. This is turning out to be a very tough choice.

To be honest, if you are in doubt, stick with the Windows machine. At least that way you can keep all your existing software licenses, and the data migration problem shouldn't be so acute (not that I imagine it's hard to transfer to a Mac, but I would think it's probably more straight-forward Windows to Windows).

Speaking of decisions what is your coffee business called? Have you decided on a name yet?
