Bewitched my arse

Tonight for a kindy fundraiser I went to Bewitched. I'm pleased that some of the money went to kindy, because if it hadn't I would have spent a whole evening on very silly movie. At least kindy made $8 from it.

I don't know who would like the film. Maybe Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell and Michael Caine and Shirley Maclaine.

Update: I've toned down this review. I felt like I was being a bit negative.

I heard it was pretty bad but still want to see it just because I loves will farrell. But also HATE Nicole Kidman so may be difficult for me to watch.

Have you seen anchorman? I loved it, maybe you would like it if you liked team america.

I've heard it sucks.
Good on you for giving up 2 hours of your life you will never get back and paying $8 for the pleasure - that's total kindness to your kindy ;)

I've been watching a brilliant Bill Murray DVD the last couple of nights. "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou". Very off beat. Full of quirky visual detail and colour. And a zany soundtrack. I can recommend it if you're looking for something to return balance to your film viewing life.

I like Will Farrell too, and to his credit, he was responsible for the one bit of this movie that made me laugh out loud. Nicole is SO ANNOYING though. Here comes an unlikely recommendation - but Elf is quite funny. Not outrageous funny, but worth a look if you're bored.

And David, I will watch that. I love Bill Murray - I've heard that movie is odd, but I'd be keen to see it. Have you seen Rushmore? Brilliant.

And Kate, they did have chocolate there, so it wasn't a total waste!

I've not seen Rushmore. But it is by the same director (and writer ?), so I'm inclined to find a copy just on principle.

Will Ferrell is brilliant in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I rather like Kevin Smith's films anyway, and J&SB is his rudest and funniest by a long shot. Sort of like Team America, but with hippies and drugs.

I was never a fan of Kidman, but she was good in Dogville and The Hours. I probably won't go to see Bewitched. If the Wallace and Gromit movie gets shown at a Mums and Bubs session, I'll make an effort though.
