Hula Laguna!
Hula Laguna is on Sunday. It will be ace. Actually I imagine it will be really crowded, but ace nevertheless.
Isn't "nevertheless" a good word. Is it real?
No grog though, which is nice for avoiding yucky drunken teenagers, but a shame if you want to be an annoying drunken adult.

No grog? There will be a Hula Bar (in the boatshed) to temporarily slake my tiki-bar thirst. And I was wondering: if you got one of those "longest drink in town" paper cups and filled it with Piña Colada, would that fool the booze cops?
OK, I give up. Who is Hula Laguna?
Sorry, I should've done a linky thing, but could only find a naff site I didn't much like the look of.
It is a splendid affair organised by the Whopper Chopper crew, with syncronised swimming and Fat Freddy's Drop, and a bar in the Boatshed (as Tom mentioned). It goes from 11 - 11.
And Tom, we had coffee cups with beer in at the Guy Fawkes, so I think your cunning plan would work. I'm not against the bar, but sometimes you just want to sit on a blanket with a nice bottle of something tasty, not bothering other punters with your kids, if you know what I mean.
I've always wanted to own a bar. Should I open a tiki one for you?
We snuck frozen vodka and lemonade into the really awful cricket match against the Aussies. It was quite delicious and a fabulous way to cool down. And helped while away the time while the Black caps were chasing the Aussies' balls around the out field.
I was searched at the gate but obviously look far too innocent to be trying to illegally get alcohol into Eden park. Either that or I look far too old.
Have a good time [mutter] and whatever [stuck in ChCh] I'm sure it'll be good [darn and blarst it]
I use nevertheless but I suspect it might be three words...my pedant, er, husband isn't here to ask.
Yes, please, open a tiki bar! Book a couple of stools by the bamboo bar for me & Hadyn.
Hula Laguna was great, but the bar was appalling (no cocktails at all!) I think I saw Kate & Jo there: were you around somewhere?
I hate to admit it, but we piked because of the crappy weather, not to mention the crazy early start.
I'm pleased it was a success. Were there a million people?
And I may just do the tiki bar, should ease my mid-life crisis, whilst turning me into a raging alcoholic.
yeah - i was there till late. oops.
Kate, how do you keep going?
We've got some celebratory drinks at work at the moment - but I'm being good and staying away. It’s so tempting. Does this thought make me an alcie?
