I like how they claim to have top academics. Like, if I had a brain the size of a planet (and I'm not saying I don't), and a choice of doing my research at Cambridge, MIT, Caltech, Leiden, or Massey. Then I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be picking Massey.
There's a billboard for Massey in New Plymouth prclaiming "Only 2.5 hours to the knowledge city".

I had a ridiculously drunken Sunday night in Palmerston North recently. When at last we ventured forth from the hotel looking for action, nothing was open! Apart from one of those barn-like bars, cavernously large and filled with pool tables that say 'Tui' and no people.
Not that it mattered. We had a fab night.
